Chapter 2, Shloka 38 of Bhagvad Geeta reads as follow –

सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ।

ततो युद्धाय युज्यस्व नैवं पापमवाप्स्यसि।।2.38।।

Translation – Look at pleasure and pain, profit and loss, victory and defeat with an equal eye. Be ready for the combat this way and you will not commit any wrong.

First stage of anything worth doing is passion. We look at something and feel passionate enough to do it. Then work hard and discipline ourselves as artist to be as good as we can. Most artists end their pursuit at this point.

Ultimate stage of mastery in any craft involves sole focus on process. Stage where you only focus on ways of doing things makes you ultimate. It is detached from immediate outcomes. If we keep doing good and improve each time then over the period we are bound to get better outcomes.

An average trader makes a good trade and feels good; a great trader makes a great trade and feels nothing.
